Our story begins with a moment that would shape the very foundation of our work. In 2017, our founder, Monja Boonzaier, crossed the railway bridge into Kliptown, Soweto. As she entered this historic neighbourhood, she was met not with a narrative of deprivation, but with these words:

โ€œToday, I am not showing you povertyโ€”I am showing you a way of life.โ€

This profound perspective continues to steer our mission. We have learned to see not only the visible challenges, but also the dignity, resilience, and the unrealised potential that reside within every community.

Join us in ensuring that every childโ€™s first steps are taken on a path toward a thriving, equitable future. Join us in building a South Africa where every child, caregiver, and community has the chance to succeedโ€”from the very beginning.

Donate Today

Join our mission to transform early childhood development. Every contribution makes a difference.

Do you have knitting/crochet supplies to donate?

Your contribution โ€” big or small โ€” directly supports a mother who is learning, creating, and building a pathway to income generation. Your donations help ensure that every participant can continue practising at home, growing her skill with dignity and consistency.
What we need:
  • Crochet needles
  • Knitting needles
  • Wool / yarn both for crocheting and knitting in any colours
  • Bulk or onceโ€‘off donations
  • Contributions from individuals, craft groups, or businesses

With your support, we can ensure that each woman completes a product she can sell โ€” and experiences the empowerment that comes with earning through her own hands.

If you or your organisation would like to sponsor supplies for this project, we would be deeply grateful.
